Ahead of the All Progressive Congress primaries for the House of Representatives scheduled to hold on the 22nd May, 2022, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole in adherence to the call by the majority of the people of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency for him to run for the seat of the Federal Constituency at the National Assembly come 2023 has picked his nomination and expression of intent form of ruling All Progressive Congress to continue to provide qualitative representation at the national level.

The state lawmaker who immediately after picking the forms at the national secretariat of the party presented the same to the leader of the party in the state, Governor Yahaya Bello for his blessings.

Speaking to journalists shortly after he picked the form in Abuja, Speaker Kolawole expressed his appreciation to the leadership and other stakeholders of the party for their continual support that has enabled him to win elections in the previous terms which gave him the opportunity to render selfless service to the people.

He promised to remain loyal and committed to the party and also provide qualitative and unique representation at the national level to the admiration of the entire constituents, stressing that his candidature will provide an uncommon opportunity for the ruling All Progressive Congress to represent the Constituency for the first time in history.

Speaker Kolawole appealed to the party delegates at the national level to join hands with Governor Yahaya Bello to realize his dream of being the party’s presidential standard bearer and also himself to change the narrative of the Federal Constituency as it is time for the progressive to take over, noting that, it can only be possible with their votes at the primary election that will hold on the 22nd May, 2022.
