The lawmaker representing Kabba Bunu in the Kogi State House of Assembly Hon. Bello Oluwaseyi Victor has commended the immediate past Commissioner of Education Science and Technology Hon Wemi Jones for his exemplary leadership and achievement in the State.
Bello, who is the current Deputy Chief whip in the eight Assembly gave the commendations during the screening of Hon. Wemi Jones a Commissioner nominee at floor of the house on Wednesday.
The Lawmaker described Hon Jones as a silent achiever whose impacts has been felt across the nooks and crannies of Kogi State, and Nigeria in general.
According to him, when Hon Jones was the Commissioner for Education Science and Technology under last the administration, he ensured that education was given top priority which led to the establishment of Confluence University of Science and Technology, (CUSTECH) Osara and Kogi State University Kabba.
The Kogi Assembly Deputy Chief Whip while passing a vote of confidence on Jones expressed optimism that he will better under the Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo led administration in Kogi State.
He averred that, the former Education Commissioner during his tenure facilitated many programs which has put Kogi State in the map of greatness.
“Proverb 22:29 says do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men. This is a typical example of Hon. Wemi Jones. He is a Man who has carved a niche for himself when given the opportunity to serve. The success story of the immediate past administration is incomplete without this vibrant son of Kogi State. If we keep on discovering brains like that of Hon. Wemi Jones in Kogi State, I can assure you that our dear State will grow faster than before” he stated.
The lawmakers present at the screening also joined the Deputy Chief Whip to praise Hon. Wemi Jones for his good work in Kogi State urging him to do more for the present administration.
