In accordance with his wealth of experience in Financial Management and Revenue Services, the 8th House of Assembly member, Mopamuro State Constituency representative, Hon Sam Olawumi Jacob has been appointed as the *Chairman Committee On Appropriation and Budgeting* under the able leadership of the speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf.
In addition to this portfolio, he also doubles as:

▪︎ Vice Chairman Justice and Judiciary.
▪︎Member Public Accounts.
▪︎Member Commerce and Industry. ▪︎Member Local Government Administration and Chieftancy Affairs.
▪︎Member Education, Science and Technology.
While addressing the Members in a closed session meeting, the Honourable Speaker reiterates his confidence in the capacity of Mopamuro State Constituency representative, noting that his rich credentials and past work experience at KGIRS is enough to deliver on the new responsibility he is saddled with.
Reacting to his appointment in the course of interacting with a group of Mopamuro Students Union, Honourable Olawumi expressed optimism in his readiness to project the image of Mopamuro State Constituency in a better light, giving a conducive environment.
I want to once again thank the Executive Governor of Kogi State for enabling the 8th Assembly to carry out her Legislative businesses as a vital arm of the State Government, Honourable Olawumi expressed.
