Kogi Assembly elects new Majority Leader

The member representing Okene 2 at the Kogi state House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Dahiru, has been elevated to the Majority Leader of the house by consensus.

Hon.Dahiru who was the former Chief Whip got elevated owing to the vacant position of the majority Leader following the resignation of the former Majority Leader Hon Murktar Bajeh.

In a motion moved by the by the Deputy Speaker Alfa Momoh Rabiu and the Speaker Prince Mathew Kolawole, putting the question to members, on the elevation, the members unanimously accepted that Hon. Dahiru be made the Majority Leader owing to his capacity and ability to do the job.
