Kogi Assembly Speaker lauds Ankpa Federal lawmaker for providing palliative for constituents … advise them to stay loyal to Hon Halims

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has applauded the efforts of the member of the National Assembly representing Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, in cushioning the impact of the current economic difficulty being faced by the people, through provision of palliatives.

This is contained in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Yabagi Mohammed.

He stated this in an address he delivered on Friday during the flag off of the distribution of the food palliative provided to the people of that federal constituency by the member representing the area who is also the Deputy Majority Leader at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.

The Speaker stated that the area is lucky to have someone in the calibre of Hon Halims as their representative, noting that as a ranking officer in the nation’s legislature, he is a part of decision makers on issues that concern the wellbeing and development of the country, and assured the people that the Deputy Majority Leader would not fail.

He enjoined the people to continue to support the lawmaker to enable Kogi State have the opportunity of producing individuals that would continue to be part of decisions that would move the country forward.

The Speaker also had at the event the member representing Lokoja/Kogi (Kotonkarfe) Federal Constituency, Hon Danladi Suleiman Aguye as the representative of the rest of the members of the House of Representatives.

Hon Halims applauded Hon Aguye for his humility and demonstration of loyalty to ranking officers and the current system of administration, stressing his resolve to strengthen cooperation with all National Assembly members for the continued growth and development of Kogi State.

The distribution of the palliative was flagged off by the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who was represented at the occasion by the State Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu.

Meanwhile, the Speaker also commissioned the Units of Solar Lights Projects being undertaken by Hon Halims in the three LGAs that make up the federal constituency.
