The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has, on Thursday, led other stakeholders from Lokoja Local Government Area on a visit to the Senator representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, Senator Sunday Karimi.
The Speaker was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Lokoja I State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani (BEST), the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammed, the Local Government APC Chairman, Hon Bature Maikudi and the former member of the state House of Assembly for Lokoja I, Hon Suleiman Babadoko.
The Speaker used the occasion to formally congratulate Senator Karimi for the good works he has started as a legislator and urged him to sustain the tempo. He also expressed gratitude to their host for the structural support he is giving them at the lower legislative levels to consolidate on the effort of Governor Yahaya Bello, and appealed to him to sustain it.
In his response, Senator Sunday Karimi enjoined them to continue to work together for the progress of the APC in Kogi State, particularly the western senatorial district, and promised not to rest even after the party succeeds in electing Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in November.
