Kogi Butchers Development Association suspends strike, asks members to resume Tuesday

The Kogi State Butcher Association on Monday suspended its one-day strike following the conclusion of it investigation over the death cow beef.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the Association, signed by its Chairman Hon. Idi Ibrahim and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday.

Ibrahim explained that the strike was called off after a two hour meeting with members and stakeholders in Lokoja.

“In view of the pressing need of our people and the conclusion of investigation over the death cows beef, we hereby directed that all our members to resume tomorrow Tuesday 13rd, April 2020.

We want to thank our members for their corporation and their perseverance,we also appreciate our teaming customers for their patience ‘ the statement said.

Ibrahim commended the state government for their support, assuring them of the Association corporation.

The meeting was attended by the executives members of the Union,stakeholders and some medical personnel from the state ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
