The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones, has commiserated with the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello over the death of his mother, Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello.
Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello died on Sunday evening during a brief illness at the age of 101 years.
A statement by the Commissioner through the Information Officer of the ministry, Seidu Ademu, on Sunday in Lokoja, sympathised with the governor and the entire family of Alhaji Bello Ipemida Ochi, and prayed God to give the departed eternal rest.
The Commissioner noted that her death was not just a loss to the entire Bello Ipemida Ochi’s family, but also to the entire Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
”On behalf of myself and the entire management and staff of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, we express our sincere sympathy to Your Excellency and the entire Pa Bello Ipemida Ochi family about the passing of your beloved mother.
”It is never easy to lose a loved one, and it is especially difficult to lose a mother irrespective of age. No matter how old we get, we still need our mothers.
”Your Excellency sir, we know how much your departed mother meant to you; she was an inspiration to many and she would be dearly missed. Even though she has passed to the other side, we truly believe that she will continue to watch over her beloved son.
”Your Excellency, please accept our most sincere condolences sir. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time”.
The Commissioner prayed God to grant the entire family and His Excellency the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.
”May Allah in his infinite mercy grant Mama a special place in Aljantu firdous Amen,” he said.
