Kogi Forum Honour Fmr. NUJ Chair , Now Clerk, Describes him as Ambassador of Journalism.
The Central Labour Forum ( CLF) of Kogi state , has described the Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Isah Amoka, as the Ambassador of Journalism and Senatorial District of the state , for his immense contributions to the wellbeing of humanity.
This was disclosed on Friday in Lokoja at a reception held in honour of Alhaji Ibrahim Isah Amoka, a former Chairman of NUJ , kogi state , on his appointment as the Clerk of the state House of Assembly.
In a remark, the Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Moses Momoh described the appointment as divine that will continue to remain indelible in the minds and hearts of the people of Central Senatorial District of the state.
The forum chairman commended the governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the appointment which he called a gift for labour unions and pledge for their support for the government.
He equally thanked him for the establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology located in the central senatorial district, appealed for more appointment for the members.
He hailed the Supreme Court judgement which affirmed the Election of the Governor , stressing that the judgement was the confirmation of the overwhelming love of the people for the governor .
The chairman, however called on the Clerk , Chief Isah Amoka and the entire members of the House of Assembly to support the policies and programmes of the government.
In their separate speeches, Habitat Umar , representing central women in Labour, the Chairman , Kogi State Council of NUJ, Comrade Adeiza MomohJimoh , the former Chairman of NUJ Emmanuel Bola Boro and Abdul Milli, Executive Director , Conscience for Human Rights and Conflicts Resolution , acknowledged his humane disposition to the welfare and wellbeing of his members while he held sway at the Council.
They described him as a man with a large heart and integrity , that can lay down his life for humanity , saying his life is the catalyst for the appointment, and appeal for more appointment for the members
While thanking the forum for the honour bestowed on him , the celebrant promise not disappoint the confidence repose on him, insisting that Journalism remains his port of call.
