KOGI GOV REITERATES COMMITMENT TO GOOD GOVERNANCE,
‘Presides over the state Executive Council Meeting’.
KOGI state Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello has reiterated his commitment to good governance as he warned government officials to improve on their output and sustain high performance.
The governor made the statement and gave the warning while presiding over the State Executive Council Meeting on Wednesday 17, February at the Exco Hall, Government House, Lokoja.
Governor Bello urged government officials to put public interests ahead of personal ones noting that history will only remember them for the good they did while in office and urged them to ensure their performances outlive them.
“I am not building an 8-year system but one which will outlive us and be of benefit to future generations. I urge you all to put public interest above personal interest. We will all be judged by what we leave behind therefore, our collective interest must be for the interest of our people”, he said.
The Governor also inaugurated the new Head of Service, Mrs Odiyo Hannah Onyinoyi and the Chairman of KOGI State Internal Revenue Service Mr Yusuf Abubakar into the state Executive Council.
