Kogi Governor’s Aide Hosts Ijumu APC Women, Canvases Support for GYB
As part of activities to mark 2020 Yuletide season, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Women and Children Development, Mrs Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya has hosted women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijumu Local Government Council to a Christmas Party.
All APC Women Leaders in the 15 Wards of the Local Government were led by Ijumu Women Leader, Mrs. Toyin Otitolaiye as well as other female folks.
The SSA Women and Children Development, Mrs. Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya while addressing the gathering expressed appreciation to the women leaders for their unwavering support to the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration.
Mrs. Ishaya noted that Governor Bello has done more than 35 percent affirmative action with the recent election of Women Vice Chairmen and Council Leaders in the 21 Local Government Areas.
She advised elected women in the December 12th election not to disappoint the women folk by misusing the opportunity given them.
According to the SSA, their performance will determine the next opportunity to serve, urging them to cooperate with the Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Taofiq Isa.
The SSA charged women to Work together as one, pointing out that Women are critical stakeholders in electoral system and Nation building.
In a remark, a former Treasurer of APC in Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adesayo Ismail commended the Governor’s Aide for her love for women and thanked women for the support given the SSA.
Alhaji Yahaya Adesayo called for prayers for the State Governor to do more for women and Kogi people.
The APC Women Leader in Ijumu, Toyin Otitolaiye said Mrs. Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya is a special breed politician
who always remembers from from time to time.
Mrs. Otitolaiye emphasized the need to Create more job opportunity for the youths towards taking them off the street.
