The Kogi state House of Assembly standing committee on Lands and Environment,has directed the Director General, Bureau for Lands , Hon. Nazir Yusuf Ochi to appear before it on Monday next week or risk zero appropriation for the agency.
Chairman of the house committee, Abu Onoru-Oiza Jibrin gave the directive when the DG failed to appear before the committee in person to defend the agency’s twenty twenty four budget at the assembly complex in Lokoja.
He said it was wrong for heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies,MDAs, not appear in person to defend the budgets of their organisations as it amounts to disrespecting the house.
He said henceforth any Head of MDA that refuses to come for budget defence would be given zero appropriation.
