Kogi Min. of Commerce doing a lot to stimulate Commercial , Industrial Activities….. Olofu
Kogi state commissioner for commerce and industry, Gabriel Olofu says the ministry is doing a lot to stimulate commercial and industrial activities in the state.
He stated this while defending the ministry’s 2021 budget estimate before the house committee on commerce and industry at the assembly complex in lokoja.
Mr Olofu said in the year under review, the ministry experienced steady growth of industrial and business activities.
He explained that the ministry’s budget was inadequate in meeting its drive for revenue and urged the assembly to help fast track the state consolidated tax law.
Earlier the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Olusola Kilani called for proper synergy between revenue generating agencies.
Other Ministries, Departments and Agencies, who also defended their 2021 budget include, Ministry of Justice, judicial services commission and the customary court of appeal.
