*Kogi Security Adviser Denies Killing of Soldier in Lokoja on Tuesday*

Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara retired has denied the rumour making the round that a soldier was killed in Lokoja the state Capital on Tuesday.

Commander Omodara stated this on a Special edition of State of Kogi, a Radio Kogi audience sensitization programme monitored by newsmen in Lokoja.

The State Security Adviser who described the news as false aimed at causing panic in the state, charged the people to disregard the rumour and go about their normal businesses.

“three Bank Managers called me Wednesday morning that they will not be opening to customers, I told them the news was false and the people should go about their businesses.”

He advised the people to verify information before disseminating to innocent members of the public.

According to him, some arrests have been made in connection with the looting in Agricultural Development Programme ADP and Kogi State Drug Store along zone eight.

He advised the people especially landlords to report anyone with looted medical and agricultural equipment to the nearest security agencies.

Commander Omodara said imported thugs carried out the Monday shooting shootings in Lokoja, pointing out that a government delegation has visited those who sustained injuries in the hospital.

The State Security Adviser said anyone found wanting for the Monday shooting as well as looting will face the weight of the law.

“anyone arrested will be treated as a criminal in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”. He added.
