Kogi Speaker Congratulates the oldest Monarch in Northern Nigeria, Oba Adebayo Ikusemoro on 95th Birthday Anniversary.

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole has congratulated the oldest Monarch in Northern Nigeria, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adebayo Ikusemoro, the Olubunu of Bunu land and one time acting Chairman of Okun Area Traditional Council, on his 95th birthday celebration.

The Speaker said it is a cheering news to see an outstanding Monarch like Oba Adebayo Ikusemoro celebrating yet another fruitful year on earth, noted that his attributes of hard work, honesty, boldness and simplicity  has endeared him to his people over the years.

The Speaker stressed that the Royal Father is one of the major pillar of his political sojourn, no wonder his strong character of patriotism earned him the royal stool in 1963 when the late Sarduna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello personally came to Olle – Bunu to crown him as the first Olubunu of Bunuland.

He said Oba Adebayo Ikusemoro has carved a niche for himself looking at his monumental contributions to the overall development of not only Bunuland but Okun nation as one time acting Chairman of Okun Area Traditional Council, a position he used to the admiration of the people, stressing that  Kogi State is happy to have a royal father of his calibre,  praying that God in His infinite mercy shall continue to grant him good health to live long for the benefit of humanity.

It is on this note that I, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole, on behalf of my family, Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, the entire members of the 7th assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly felicitate with and congratulate our Royal father, wishing him a happy birthday celebration.

He prayed that God will grant him more years ahead in good health and prosperity.

Once again, congratulations and happy 95th birthday celebrations

Signed:
Femi Olugbemi,
