Kogi Speaker Felicitates with Muslim Umah on Eid -El – Kabir Celebrations

Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has felicitated with the Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and particularly in Kogi State on this year Edi-El- Kabir celebration, urging them to use the occasion to pray for the prosperity of both the Nation and State.

He said Eid-el Kabir is an important occasion for the Muslim faithfuls, charging them to remember the sacrifices Prophet Ibrahim made in obedience to the will of God.

He enjoined all and sundry to inculcate the virtue of sacrifice either as  Muslims and non-Muslims to build a nation of our dream.

He urged all Muslim faithfuls to use this festive period of sacrifice to pray for the peace and development of the state and country at large especially to overcome the scourge of covid-19 challenge bedevilling the world at this time.

He called on well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations to reach out to the less privileged in the society especially our Muslim brothers and sisters that may not have enough resources to celebrate appropriately.

He charged them to adhere strictly to the rules of keeping  social distance of at least 2meters, washing of hands with soap and sanitizing of hands regularly, promoting personal hygiene and wear masks to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.
