Kogi Speaker mourns Barrister Kola Ojo

Spread the love

Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has received with a heavy heart the sudden demise of Barrister Kola Ojo,  Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said it is socking and sad to lose such a friendly uncle who he personally saw as a mentor while growing up in Okoro Gbede community, noting that his untimely death is devastating.

The death  of Uncle Kola is a personal loss looking back at the days he lived with him at age 17 wherein he used to be one of the people that brought him up, the Speaker pointed out.

He said the family and Okoro Gbede community has lost a rare gem who was committed to the mentorship of the upcoming generation and their development.

He said it is very sad and painful to lose a love one that is dear to him at a critical time as this but he urged the family to take solace in the words of God which say there is time for everything under the sun; a time to be born and time to die, praying that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He therefore, on behalf of the Kogi State House of Assembly wish to commiserate with the Ojo family, Okoro Gbede community, Ijumu Local Government, Okunland and Kogi State over the demise of an accomplished legal luminary, a community developer, lover of sports and politician, Barrister Kola Ojo..

May his soul rest in perfect peace

Signed:
Femi Olugbemi,
Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly
