KOGI STATE ACCOUNTANT GENERAL FETES RETIRED DLG AND TREASURERS

Kogi State Accountant General, Chief Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani has described the retired Directors of Local Government Treasurer for their concerted efforts for their invaluable contributions to Local Government development in Kogi State.
Chief Habibat Tijjani stated this in her address in a reception she organized for the retiring Local Government Management Staff at the unity hall of the Ministry for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs.
She urged Local Government Staff to emulate the starling qualities and legacies left behind by the retired staff to advance the cause of good service delivery at the Local Government level.
She named the retired DLGs as from Bassa, Idah, Dekina, Okehi, Mopamuro and Igalamera/Odolu and LGTs from Ajaokuta, Okehi, Dekina, Omala and Ofu.
Speaking, the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adams Adabenege, appreciated the contributions of the retired officers and asked other Local Government staff to emulate and put to use their administrative and professional skills for the betterment of Local Government Administration in Kogi State.
He commended the Kogi State Accountant General for her zeal and epitome of love, transparency and accountability while serving as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and prayed for God guidance for her in her present status and described Chief Habibat Tijjani as a resourceful manager of human and materials resources.
In the goodwill message, Alh. Abdullahi Salihu, the retired DLG for Bassa LGA and former Chairman of DLG’s Forum, praised the ingenuity of Chief Habibat Tijjani as a lover of people, a disciplinarian and industrious officer that has earned her reputation and elevations in her course to serve Kogi State.
He appreciated his fellow retired colleagues for job well-done and reminded them to emulate and follow footsteps of Chief Habibat Tijjani as a disciplinarian and wished her higher elevation at Federal level.
In a remark, the Treasurer to Ijumu LGA, Mr. Asaju Joseph, who is also the Treasurer (DLGs Forum) thanked God for the transition from active service to another life in good health. He commended the leadership of DLGs Forum under Alh. Abdullahi Salihu for successfully piloting the affairs of the Forum without rancor and appreciated God for reaching peak of their career.
Goodwill messages were offered by Mr. Adegbe Johnson Umar (DLG Dekina), Hajia Mariam Anokehi Ozohura (LGT Okehi) and Abdulsalam Abdulraheem (LGT Ajaokuta) where Abdulraheem described Accountant General of the State as a woman of excellence and prayed to God for her protection and guidance in all her endeavours.
The reception which was attended by the Commissioners for Water Resources and Humanitarian Services (Engr. Faruk M. Danladi and Hajia Rabiat Okute) had member of Fair Win Women Association of Nigeria from Okene who added colour with redemption songs intermittently throughout the occasion where the Accountant General presented reflex banner portrait of the retired officers as gift to them.
