Kwara Gov, Marwa, others to unveil NDLEA Commander’s books Tuesday Stephen Olufemi Oni, Ilorin

All is set for the public presentation of two books written by the Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kwara State, Mr Muhammed Bashir Ibrahim, holding in Ilorin, the state capital.

The two books titled “Drug Slaves, and Look Before You Leap” with Hausa and Yoruba versions will be unveiled on Tuesday 6th of February, 2024 at the Banquet Hall, opposite Government House, Ilorin at 10am.

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, NDLEA, Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd) will grace the occasion as Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour respectively.

Also expected at the event are Governor Umar Bago of Niger State, his Kogi State counterpart, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo; members of the National Assembly and State House of Assembly.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the Chairman and Secretary of the Organising Committee of the public presentation, Alhaji Mohammed Tunde Akanbi and Mrs Adeola Ajala, listed other eminent individuals expected at the event to include Engineer Yusuf ‘Lanre Sagaya, who is the Chairman of the occasion; Director General, Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Comrade Issa Aremu, Keynote Speaker while Mallam Yusuf Ola-Olu Ali (SAN) is the Guest Speaker.

The statement added that a troupe from the Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin, will stage one of the books titled “Look Before You Leap” at the event.

It noted that the books were written in continuation of the gamut of efforts to wage war against drug and substance abuse in the society.
