I, Hon. Bode Ogunmola, wish to sincerely appreciate leaders of our great party, PDP, stakeholders from National, State, Central Senatorial District, especially the good people of Ogori/Magongo State Constituency and the entire people of Kogi State for the well deserved victory we clinched at last Saturday’s House of Assembly poll.
It is a victory for all and I promise to work hard to better the lives of our people. Now, more than ever, l have come to accept that power indeed, belongs to God; the only One who shapes the destiny of men.
I sincerely appreciate all those that stood to ensure that the wish of the people was not truncated, traditional leaders, religious leaders, opinion moulders, trade unions, voluntary organizations, civil society organizations, market women, age groups and youth organisations, I salute your resilience.
It is also important that l appreciate the security agencies for being alive to their responsibilities. Without their firmness, it is not impossible that the wish of the people would have been truncated.
Let me also thank the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the noble role it played in the election.
As for my constituents, I know how much you desire real change and be assured that l won’t take your support for granted.
I here and now, make you a promise that l won’t betray your trust and confidence. You can count on me to deliver on all promises made. They are promises from a sincere heart and by God’s grace; the One that gave us the victory, l will not go back on my promises.
I am confident that together, we can work to build a new Ogori/Magongo, where the prosperity of our land, will be our collective concern. God will give us our desire.
Once again, l thank you for your support and for reposing so much confidence in me without giving consideration to party or other sentiments.
We have achieved victory and l dare say that it can only be God. For this, l say thank you to the Most High.
