Moments before the former Administrator of Okene Local Government Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad hands over the baton of power to the Director of Local Government (DLG), the former Council boss received in audience Local Government Elders Advisory Council, Party Stakeholders, Women groups and leaders of GYB support groups in Okene.
The stakeholders were in his office on a courtesy visit and to also reassured the former Administrator that they remain resolute in their support for his aspiration as the next Executive Chairman of the Local Government.
In his address, the Chairman of Elder Advisory Council for Okene Local Government, Hon. Hamzat Amewuru thanked Abdulrazaq for a successful tenure in office as the Council Administrator and pledged the support of the elders in his quest to be elected as the next Council Chairman.
The Chairman of Agada descendants, Mr Ozigi, his Adehi counter-part, Alh. Musa Onisho, Capt. Shittu Lawal, and the District Head of Okene, Alh. Muritala Inakakana all acknowledged the tenure of Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad as the most peaceful, people’s friendly and development oriented.
In the same context, Kogi Central Women coordinator, Haj. Musili Amewuru, Okene Local Government Education Secretary, Haj. Saratu Abdullahi, the Local Government Party Secretary and representative of Igbo community were full of praises for the former Council boss.
The stakeholders unanimously endorsed the candidature of Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad as the next Executive Chairman of Okene Local Government.
