The Majority leader of the Kogi state House of Assembly, Suleiman Abdulrazak has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his developmental stride in the state in the last seven years.
The Majority leader stated this while giving vote of thanks when the governor presented the 2024, Budget Estimate to the assembly in Lokoja.
He said governor had written the wrongs of the past by uniting the people to their common foes of anger, resentment, hatred, lawlessness, violence, disease, joblessness and hopelessness.
The Lawmaker said the people of the state now see themselves as neighbours and not adversaries and treat one another with dignity and respect.
He however said the house had scored the governor’s New Director Administration high based on its verifiable developmental projects and achievements

It is often said by wise men that He who wears GRATITUDE like a CLOAK, at every corner of HIS life will be filled with greatness and prosperity. Your Excellency, this Budget vote avails us the opportunity and privilege to outline some of the progress made so far. Your Excellency, you have right the wrongs of the past by uniting our people to fight the common foes of anger, resentment, hatred, lawlessness, violence, disease, joblessness and hopelessness. We are humbled by the faith you have reposed in us, and the guidance you have magnanimously given to us through your large and nevertiring heart. We now see ourselves not as adversaries anymore, but as neighbours, we treat each other today with dignity and respect because you thought us so.
Your Excellency, you have written a story of hope, not fear, of unity not division, of light not darkness. A story of decency and dignity of love and of healing, of greatness and of goodness. A story that will be told in ages and to generations yet to come, that you answered the call of history and duty, and that you stood up and very firm when our dear state needed it the most.
Permit me to use this opportunity to thank and appreciate Your Excellency for successfully steering the affairs of the staf, through the turbulent waters of the NEW DIRECTION administration in the past 7 years, and given all the necessary attention to the various critical development sector of our dear state.
Your Excellency, this Honourable House have scored your NEW DIRECTION ADMINISTRATION that is rounding up, an excellent pass mark, based on your veritable developmental projects and achievements.
Your excellency, you have inspired the present and future generations of Kogites by not just laying a solid foundation for greater Kogi State, but for ensuring that you have a trustworthy and dedicated successor !n the person of ALH. AHMED USMAN ODODO, that will continue in the task of erecting a befitting and very prosperous Kogi State, where every TRIBE and CREED will have equal stake in the affairs of our dear state.
Thank you your Excellency, for successfully deflating all the agents of disunity, and propagators of evil agender meant to take us back to the very dark days of our state.

Members of the Eight Assembly and the Assembly Community in general, I want to thank Your Excellency, THE SUPREME LEADER and EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR of our beloved state ALH.
