MSION donates 1,492 packs of Misoclear Misoprostol to combact MMM

Mariestopes International Organisation of Nigerian (MSION) has donated one thousand four hundred and ninety two packs of Misoclear misoprotol to the state ministry of health to combact Mortality and Morbidity (MMM).
Representing the commissioner of health, Dr. Haruna Saka the Permanent secretary of the ministry, Mall Abubakar Babamaaji made this known while collecting the donation un behalf of the ministry.
He thanked the NGO for the kind gesture, while stressing that the drugs will go a long way in controlling child mortality rate in the state.
In her opening remark the state Family Planning Coordinator, Mrs. Abiodun Florence disclosed that the NGO are here in the state to prevent Maternal Mortality and Morbidity (MMM) rate of women in the state.
While noting that the drugs been donated will go a long way in preventing death and sickness that is very common during delivery and all reproductive health activities, She further added that the NGO within a short while has trained facilities health workers and donated equipments.
Speaking during the donation, the state Clinical Training Officer, Mrs. Falodun Titilayo noted that MSION is an implementing partner to the Federal Ministry of Health in the provision of reproductive health/family planning services and commodities across communities in Nigeria.
According to her the goal of the NGO is to have a platform where women can have children by choice and not by chance, and that every delivery should be one that is wanted and not by mistake.
She further added that the state is one of the states in the country that has recorded high data of maternal, mortality and morbidity, which is the reason why the NGO deemed it fit to help the state with the drugs to help treat and prevent post-partum haemorhage.
