Politics is not religion, serious minded religious believers are praying for Nigeria to enthrone righteous leaders, while serious politicians are seriously involved in analyzing political space, loopholes, strategies on how to win election.
These games are different from each other, what has really happened to the Christians over the years was the believe that politics was a “Dirty game”, this believe gave rise to mediocres to take over the spaces available, political party leadership from the top to bottom, the Christians with the boldness and dexterity to face it were marginalized because politics is about the number, i.e majority.
Strategically speaking and with all modesty and to be fair to APC, the calculation is to take hold of major states with the highest number of Votes to seek sympathy votes, especially that North East never produced the president or the Vice President before in Nigeria.
In view of the above calculation, the Association of Northern Christians (CNNPF) has critically taken it upon our group to support and to correct the notion that Muslim – Muslim of Bola/Shettima ticket for 2023 is not Evil as being peddled by some clerics and some self-seeking politicians, especially after the visit of Bola Tinubu to the leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), to bear his mind concerning Muslim-Muslim ticket.
To all active Christian politicians, you can now clearly fathom that Muslim- Muslim ticket was not deliberate targeted against the Christians, or to form an Islamic State if Ahmed Bola Tinubu will the Presidential election, this is far from this illusion, you know why? Bola Tinubu’s wife who has been in National Assembly as Senator is a Christian, a pastor of high repute in the Redeem Church of God, no wonder, pastor E O Adeboye has asked all members of his congregation to vote for a candidate of their choice and pray for God to enthrone righteous leaders. As humans, the Bible said” Ecclesiastes 9:11 , the race of life is not for the wise, not for the knowledgeable, neither is it for the strongest or the brightest, but TIME and CHANCE happens to them all”. How can you mortals dissipate energy condemning an arrangement whose time and chance will eventually deliver or speak at an appointed time.
We are calling on Northern Christians and Christians beyond the shore of Nigeria to wake up from slumber and forsake the people drumming not to vote for Muslim-Muslim ticket because their selfish aims and objectives.
