My dear constituents,
First and foremost, Let me begin by expressing my deepest gratitude to God Almighty and the good people of Olamaboro Constituency for the rare privilege and opportunity to serve you as your representative in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
I am, most especially Thankful to the leader of our great party in Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello (The White Lion) and his Siamese twin Brother, Chief Edward David Onoja for recognizing me and for your support before, during and after the electioneering period. I am most humbled your excellencies.
My unending gratitude goes to the good people of Olamaboro LGA for finding me worthy to serve, support and the role they played for my emergence.
The mandate that I have today is a cherished responsibility entrusted in me by the youths, elders, traditional rulers, women, and students. To these ones, I express my most heartfelt thanks.
My campaign promises have been the bedrock of my representation so far. At every point in time, I recall that I had promised to use my position to attract more infrastructural and human empowerment projects into Olamaboro Constituency.
In order to meet more urgent needs across Olamaboro Constituency, I have earmarked a lot of infrastructural and human capital development projects as my Constituency project for requisite attention. I would continue to reflect the views of Olamaboro Constituency people in the course of my representation and project executions.
My dear peaceful and hospitable people, I feel your pains, my heart bleeds because I know this pandemic has brought an untold hardship to us. I understand that most of you survive on daily income basis. In this trying times, I plead with you to put your faith in God, manage the little you have judiciously, knowing fully well that it is just for a while.
If people had sacrificed their time, energy and resources to put me where I am, why can’t I reciprocate by also sacrificing to get back to them? They don’t expect anything less from me than good communication and prompt attention and response to their yearnings.
On this premise, I have also placed most of our people on monthly stipends to enable them cope with the prevailing challenges.
All these does not include my regular interventions/support in the daily financial challenges of our people. I wish and indeed hope to do more as the economic situation improves.
Being an effective legislator involves listening to my people, translating their concerns into workable proposals, and building consensus to implement them. I may not be able to do this job without the involvement and openness of the people I represent. I thank you for the efforts you have been making these past one year to put forward useful suggestions, complains, and commendations. All these have given me more insights into what your demands are. I urge you to continue in this. You can reach me directly through my personal contacts at anytime. The constituency office in Okpo, Olamaboro LGA is open to you always.
Finally, let me reassure you of my avowed commitment to delivering quality leadership to Olamaboro Constituency in my capacity as House of Assembly member. I humbly ask for your continuous supports and prayers. We must not fail in the course to leave Olamaboro Constituency a better place than we met it.
Once more, thank you for your patience, understanding and support in the past one year of effective and robust representation.
God bless you !
Signed:
Hon. Anthony Alewo Ujah,
Member Representing Olamaboro Constituency,
Kogi State House of Assembly.
