The African Democratic Congress ADC Yagba West has advised the All Progressive Congress APC Yagba west to accept defeat as Hon. Ibikunle Simon Idown has been declared the winner of the Kogi State House of Assembly election in a free and fair election.
The Directorate of Hon. Ibikunle’s campaign said the process of the election was free, fair and credible, and that the Returning officer acted according to the electoral act and the guidelines of Inec to have declared Hon. Ibikunle as the winner having scored the highest number of votes in the election.
“The election was not announced under duress, the Returning officer acted according to the law of INEC and the electoral act to announce the legitimate winner of the House of the election in person of Hon. Ibikunle aka man kuli.
“Rather, it was the APC and her candidate that were perpatrating odd hours voting in Igbaruku, the hometown of her candidate, Yemisi Oshaloto.
“We want to assure our people in ADC not to conform to the fake news being peddled by the opposition about the Yagba west House of Assembly election.
“Also our stolen mandate in Yagba east will be recovered, it’s just a matter of time, we have discovered many discrepancies in the process of the House of Assembly election in Yagba East and the results announced by Inec in the local government, we assure our supporters that the process will be challenge and recovered.
