YOUR EXCELLENCY Sir, we have to resort to writing this open letter when all efforts made at getting across to you were frustrated.
We members of ODOLE YOUTHS COUNCIL from odole Mopa in mopamuro local government are writing you as reference to the forthcoming local government elections in kogi state.
It’s however, disheartening to know that you have been giving a false impression about MOPA as a town that made you get stuck with Hon. Sunday Moses (Alumo).
We are made to understand that a kite was sold to you that MOPA is one, with no axis!
Yes, MOPA is one, BUT with THREE AXIS SIR, which are :
1. ILOKE /ILETEJU AXIS
2. ODOLE AXIS
3. ILAI /OKEAGI AXIS
YOUR EXCELLENCY SIR, all the above axis have their OBA (KING)
SIR, historically, political office spoils are shared between this axis the way it’s shared between communities in other towns, for example, :
1.Ogori and magongo in ogori/magongo LGA
2. various axis in okene LGA
3. Ijumu LGA
4. Yagba East LGA
And many others.
Sir, the big injustice done to the ODOLE AXIS where we come from is that WE HAVE NEVER BEEN ELECTED OR MADE TO HEAD MOPAMURO LGA since her creation about Three decades ago.
Over the years, ILOKE /ILETEJU axis had dominated the headship of the LGA particularly ward 03, which is one of the TWO wards making up that axis. ODOLE axis have TWO wards too : wards 01 and 02.
Hon. Sunday Moses (Alumo) is from ward 03.
Your excellency, please check the list of past headship of the LGA from Mopa and judge yourself from creation in 1996!

3. Hon kehinde joninpinsaye (vice chairman) : ward 03 ileteju
4. Hon kowe : ward 04 ileteju

7 Hon. F. Daniyan, chairman : ward 03 ileteju
8. Hon. Bolaji Olore (SSA 1): ward 03 ileteju

Sir, MOPAMURO LGA is a common wealth of both ODOLE, ILETEJU, ILAI/OKAGI, AND AMURO SEVEN VILLAGES. While the AMUROS have a well laid out rotation process, and no any villages had ever held it twice, the opposite is the case as ILETEJU, PARTICULARLY WARD 03, have seen it as their inheritance!
YOUR EXCELLENCY SIR, we know you to be a man who respects FAIRNESS, no wonder one of your company was named FAIRPLUS! WE THEREFORE DEMAND FAIRNESS IN THE FORTHCOMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS IN KOGI STATE.
Sir, it’s the turn of ODOLE AXIS which is made up of two wards In mopamuro LGA to produce the chairman and we have vibrant GYBIST fighting as well in that axis to be elected . Sir, we all worked for your re election and that of senator smart Adeyemi. Be informed Sir, that each ward have their own leader. The last election couldn’t have been successful without proper coordination of the leaders, and thus, not a one Man show as the impression was given to you.
Sir, anointing Alumo for yet another 3 years despite the 4years you have blessed him is telling other people in the community that we are worthless. The present unity in mopamuro APC needs to be sustained through 2023 in which we know you shall need us. We, at Odole are separate axis with our own OBA, ileteju cannot be lording it over us via re anointing ALUMO over us. At best, let there be primary before the election to truly test the waters.
You intervened in yagba east by dropping Hon Razak , and did likewise in yagba west by dropping Hon Timi, all because of fairness, equity and justice, please sir do likewise in MOPAMURO LGA!
