Asiwaju under the leadership of GYB spearheaded the fiscal sustainability reforms that helps the State’s financial stability. E.g. Fiscal Sustainability Plan (2017), Public Sector Governance Reform and Development Project (2019) to address weakness in Public Finance Management.

Asiwaju under the directive of Governor Yahaya Bello coordinated the economic development team that evaluated the workability of the World Bank Covid-19 Action Recovery and Response Stimulus (2020) (NG-CARES)

Asiwaju re-negotiated the State’s bond to extend and spread the repayment process to a longer tenor in order to ease the burden on the State’s monthly allocation and was able to keep the debt indices of Kogi State, both foreign and local, drastically low.

Under the directive of Governor Yahaya Bello, Asiwaju established a successful partnership with Agri Integrated Services Africa Limited to build the 2nd largest Rice Mill in the North Central. A 50 ton Capacity Rice Mill Plant in Ejiba. This is to help harness the State’s rice productive capacity.

M – Multiplier effect: An effect of government increase/decrease in spending which will mean more jobs for workers or otherwise

His role in ensuring a successful partnership between the State and Agri Integrated services Africa limited did not only establish a Rice Mill but also led to provision of about 5,000 direct jobs.

A – Active Manager: Asiwaju because of his administrative acumen was appointed Chairman on about 22 committees between (2020-2022).

S – Strategic industry: An industry that a government deems to be of special importance to the economy and hence deserving of special treatment

Asiwaju being a strategic investment finance specialist was appointed a member of the Ajaokuta Presidential Project Implementation Team by His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello’s nomination.

Asiwaju with the mandate of Governor Yahaya Bello ensured the successful partnership between Kogi State and Agri Integrated Services Africa Limited which successfully established the Kogi Confluence rice mill in OMI Dam Ejiba which has now become the pride of Kogi State as we now have our own rice available in the stalls for consumption.

Asiwaju excelled in putting the right category of people in their area of Specialization. Under his Ministry, there are different categories of departments headed with respect to their specialization which has helped in getting results at each task assigned to them.

I – Innovation: Innovation is a key element in improving productivity, which in turn is a big driver of economic growth.

Asiwaju came up with a matrix of funding windows which was developed, analyzed and evident that bond issuance could raise cheaper investible funds. This would later help the State to raise N20B from the capital market through a Bond Programme for investments in infrastructure.

R – Rate of return: The increase value from a process for a project.

The re-engineering of Kogi Investment and Properties Ltd has been re-engineered in line with the Companies and Allied Matters Act secured a guaranteed seed facility of about N2billion from the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria for housing development in the State.

Asiwaju identified that Geographic Information System (GIS) will be a utility tool for effective land administration for the Bureau of Lands. The economic development team under his Office were able to establish a partnership that commenced it implementation immediately.

Asiwaju is a man that is committed to Research and Development. This is what he is deploying with the 32years Development Plan as it will identify the evidence based needs from each areas and sectors of the State.
