Following the judgement of Kogi governorship election petition tribunal which dismissed the petitions of the PDP and affirm the victory of Gov. Yahaya Bello as the duly elected governor of Kogi State, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters in charge of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad heartily congratulates the Executive Governor of the state, Alh. Yahaya Bello, his deputy Chief Edward Onoja on their well deserved victory at the tribunal.
In a statement he issued in Okene immediately after the judgement, Hon. Abdulrazaq described the ruling as a victory for democracy and a validation of the peoples mandate for Gov. Bello and the APC.
The Local Government Chief Security maintained that, the judgement indicates that the election was free, fair and credible. It shows the people lawfully and peacefully voted and renew the mandate of Gov. Yahaha Bello for another four year term in office to consolidate on his achievements of placing the state on the path of sustainable economic development.
While cautioning party supporters in the council to be magnanimous in celebration, Hon. Abdulrazaq advise the opposition parties to save the state unnecessary distractions but should rather join hands with the ruling government to move our dear state forward.
