…gets assurances of block votes from Kakanda Youths

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has appealed to the people of Shaba-Yagi in Ward B, Lokoja Local Government Area, to vote massively for the APC candidate in the November 11 gubernatorial election, Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed.

He stated this in a press release made available to the media by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, when he received members of the community on a courtesy visit on Saturday in Lokoja.

The Speaker noted that as brothers, friends and school mates with who he grew up, he was sure that they would not fail him in the task.

According to the Speaker, members of the community have been known to be people of great political pedigree in Ward B and Lokoja Local Government Area, and promised that when elected, he would ensure that government extends dividends of democracy to the area.

Speakers for the group used the opportunity to express their happiness that Rt Honourable Aliyu Umar Yusuf is the head of the state legislature, and promised not to let him down in the November gubernatorial election.

They used the occasion to go down memory lane and reminded him of how his political journey started early in the area together, and assured that they would make him proud in November.

In the same vein, the speaker also received Kakanda Youths under the aegis of Youths Today, Leaders Tomorrow from Kakanda Ward who assured him of overwhelming support in the November governorship election.

Speakers took turns to assure Rt Honourable Umar that for his sake, they would ensure the APC wins the election in a landslide manner, adding that they are committed to Jealously guide the seat he currently occupies as the speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly.

Responding, the speaker thanked and charged them to take the campaign for Ododo Mandate Movement’23. to various parts of the communities that make up Kakanda Land and the state in general for the success of the party.
