Nigeria union of Teachers (NUT) Mopamuro LGA branch headed by comrade Gabriel Adejohn and his Executives played host to the Caretaker Chairman Hon. Ademola Bello Destiny at the Council Secretariat to congratulate and familiarize themselves with him. They appreciate the Council boss for the palliative gesture which underscore the fact that he is a leader for all and not just for APC as a party.
In his presentation, the leader of the Union appeal to the Chairman for more Teachers in Primary Schools as there is a shortage of staff within the LGA.
Not only that, he sought the indulgence of the Transition Chairman on the implementation of promotion arrears and completion of the Teachers’ House.
In his remark, Hon. Destiny expressed profound appreciation to them for their visit and promised to x-ray their requests with human face and with every possibility transmit same to the appropriate authority.
“I want to, with all emphasis put it to you that Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a man of integrity that loves dedication to duty and interestingly, his lieutenant comes from amongst the Teachers therefore, be certain that your requests will not go unattended to and i can assure you that it shall be treated across the lengt and breath of the Kogi State but always bear in mind that, you are in charge of raising future leaders for generations yet unborn and if the foundation be destroyed, according to my faith, the righteous can do but nothing, so you need to up your games to meet Government expectations in that regard.”
He further commended the Teachers for their resilience and and cooperation assuring them of the Government readiness to support Primary School Teachers and will as a matter of necessity make out time to have an interactive session with of them, soon.
