Senator Mustapha condoles with Senator Umar over father’s death Stephen Olufemi Oni, Ilorin

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, has offered heartfelt condolences to his colleague in the National Assembly, Senator Sadiq Umar, over the demise of his father, Alhaji Sulaiman Mora Umar.

Alhaji Suleiman Mora, the Madawaki of Kaiama and a seasoned administrator, passed on at the age of 86.

In a personally signed statement, Senator Mustapha described the late Madawaki as a complete gentleman, a thoroughbred technocrat and administrator who contributed immensely to the growth and development of Kwara State.

“The late Madawaki of Kaiama lived an exemplary life; he was a thoroughbred technocrat, a father, grandfather and a fine gentleman. He was an elder statesman in the true sense of the word.

“On behalf of the people of Kwara central senatorial district, I want to express our heartfelt condolences to my dear colleague and brother, Senator Sadiq Umar, his immediate and extended families on the death of their beloved father.

“I also commiserate with the revered Emir of Kaiama, H.R.H. Alhaji Muazu Shehu and the entire people of Kaiama on the death of the traditional title holder in the Kaiama Emirate. I pray Almighty Allah to accept his return and forgive his misdeeds,” he added.

While condoling with the family of the late elder statesman, Senator Sadiq Umar and his siblings, the Turaki of Ilorin urged them to uphold the ideals their late father stood for and further his course for a better and united Kwara state.
