Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Professor of Constitutional Law, Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 84th birthday.
In a statement issued by his media office spokesperson, Steve Makinde, on Monday, the former lawmaker joined the sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate to celebrate and thank the royal father for his contribution to the peaceful atmosphere, growth, and development of the Ilorin Emirate, and Kwara state at large.
Ali praised the emir’s willingness to always provide assistance to his subjects, describing him as a rallying point for all sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate.
The statement reads: “On behalf of my family, I join other illustrious sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate to celebrate our revered royal father, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the joyous occasion of his 84th birthday.
“We celebrate Mai Martaba for his immense contribution towards the peaceful atmosphere, growth, and development of the Emirate, Kwara state, and the nation at large. No doubt, our father’s fondness for providing succor to his subjects in terms of need is worth celebrating by all and sundry.
“The Emir stands as a rallying point for all of us who are bonafide sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate. I pray Allah (SWT) grants the revered royal father a longer life and good health. Aameen.”
Professor Ali, while praising the emir’s sterling attributes, prayed for his continued protection, longevity, and good health.
