The Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Olayinka Fafoluyi, has been awarded the title of Associate Member of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

With the new certification, Fafoluyi is now officially recognised as a registered practitioner in advertising, further solidifying his esteemed career as a digital marketing and public relations expert which he had established over the years.

The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria is the apex regulatory body for advertising and its practitioners in Nigeria.

Fielding questions from journalists on Friday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on his new attainment, Fafoluyi said: “Being recognised by ARCON as an associate member is an incredible honour. This certification is a testament to my commitment to excellence in the field of advertising and digital marketing. I am grateful for this recognition and I look forward to continuing to serve and innovate in my role.

“Receiving the associate member certification from ARCON is an important milestone in my career. The recognition, without being immodest, is evidence of my dedication, expertise and contributions to the field of advertising and digital communications, even as I vow to continue to offer my best towards uplifting my career and advertising and digital processions.

“As a matter of fact, I am delighted to be a pivotal in driving Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s digital communication initiatives by ensuring that the administration’s messages are effectively conveyed to the public through various digital platforms. And I am thankful to the Governor for giving me the free hand and wherewithal to succeed.”

It would be recalled that Fafoluyi’s experience spans various sectors, including media and agricultural companies, where he had demonstrated an exceptional ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.

Reacting to Fafoluyi’s new attainment, a political analyst, Adeola Olusola, said: “This recognition is a testament to Fafoluyi’s commitment to excellence, expertise in whatever he lays his hands on, and invaluable contributions to the fields of advertising and digital communications over the years.

“I have painstakingly been following his track records and I want to say that this award is well deserved. I urge him not to be complacent, but to continue to strive for higher goals and attainments in life.

“His rich background, no doubt, has been instrumental to his contributions to the Kwara State administration’s communication strategies. Fafoluyi’s expertise has been crucial in navigating the complex landscape of modern media, leveraging digital tools to enhance government transparency and citizen engagement.”

Fafoluyi is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where he bagged his Bachelor’s degree. He furthered his education at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Journalism. Additionally, he has enhanced his expertise with a Certificate in Fundamental Skills in Digital Marketing from Google, underscoring his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.
