The chairmanship candidates for 19th October Council polls, Chief Ademola Bello expressed heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his proactivness and desires to alleviate the suffering of the State workers by his promptness at keeping to his words two months ago on Minimum wage remuneration.
It will be recall that Gov. Ododo reiterated his commitments to Kogi civil servants’ welfare and her citizenry, harped on upholding the national minimum wage by the federal government and organized Labour Union a few weeks ago, and today, promised kept beyond the expectations of workers.
“Your Excellency, sir, you have broken records by these unprecedented feats geared towards the wellbeing of Kogi civil servants by increasing their monthly salaries to 72,500 which is above fedral government standard and not only that, but further offer them a year tax holiday, effective from October in order to cushion the spillover effects of economic down turn bedeviling the country.”
Since the beginning of your reign, your leadership prowess has been top-notch. Salaries are being paid as at when due, both State and local government workers are talking good of your leadership styles, indeed you are the “Chief servant” of the State, Hon. Destiny professed.
The Chairman in-waiting expressed better days ahead for Kogi people, noting that the government of Alhaji Ododo is a perfect reflection of his oath of office.
Hon. Destiny admonished Kogites to continue praying for His Excellency to succeed while soliciting for their maximum cooperation for the smooth running of governance and service delivery on the part of the workers.
Now that the State Government has fulfilled his promises regarding the minimum wage, I urge everyone to come out in max and vote APC in the coming Council elections, for we shall no doubt as His Excellency’s eyes at the grassroot replicate his footsteps, Hon. Destiny added.
