Today (07-04-2025) marks the tenth Anniversary of the call to glory of our mother and wife, Late Architect,Lolo Ngozi Alassan. Untill her death, she was a very active person in the service of the Lord.As a matter of fact, she died as a Martyr in the course of the service. To celebrate the memories of this woman of God,there was a Holy Communion Memorial Servce at the Chapel of Peace, Bishop’s Court, Lokoja, where the Bishop of the Diocese extoled the virtues of the Late Architect Alassan, describing her,as a tool in the hands of God Himself.
He expressed his confidence in the fact that Mrs Alassan is resting in the bossom of the Lord where rooms are being prepared for those who are prepared to make heaven. He admonished the family not to grieve any longer because their loved one is already resting in peace with the Lord.
Meanwhile, the family has put in place, Lily Foundation to assist those who have the passion for the spread of the Gospel. The target for this Foundation is #10million, which includes monthly Clergy support initiative of #50,000,the Lily memorial Annual Award, honouring outstanding Clergy members who have demonstrated expectional commitment to the service, emergency aid program designed to assist Clergy members facing unexpected challenges and finally capacity building workshops. For effective disbursement of the funds, His Grace, Bishop Emmanuel S.Egbunu,The Anglican Bishop of Lokoja Diocese ,is the head of the Council of the Lily Foundation and also having the husband,Mr.Joe Alassan, mni,as a member amongst others. It will be recalled that Mrs.Lolo Ngozi Alassan, met her untimely death during one of their Christian outreach to Gboloko in Bassa land of Kogi State ten years ago.
