The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, on Tuesday, briefly vacated his seat for Adetolani Adekanmbi, a child aspiring to be a parliamentarian in the future, who was on a visit to the Assembly Chambers.
Adekanmbi came in with her parent and siblings to the office of the Speaker and revealed that she wants to be a lawmaker in the future.
The Speaker, who encouraged the child not to give up on her dreams said he could see a lot of potential in her and that she would make a good parliamentarian in the future.
He also advised children not to give up on their dreams, while emphasizing the need for parents to assist their children to become great leaders who would take society to greater heights.
The member representing Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, Hon Seyi Bello and other members of the Assembly were present during the visit and watched the scene with admiration.
