The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, on Sunday joined top-tier party leaders and stakeholders at the Glass House, Government House, Lokoja, for a critical consultative meeting focused on the ongoing APC membership e-registration exercise. The high-level gathering was aimed at reviewing the progress of the digital enrollment and identifying strategic improvements to ensure a comprehensive and hitch-free exercise across the state.
Addressing the stakeholders, Rt. Hon. Egwaba described the e-registration as a strategic masterstroke designed to modernize the party’s database and fortify its leadership structure. She emphasized that the initiative is crucial for ensuring that all “card-carrying” members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are adequately positioned and prepared for the 2027 general elections. The Lawmaker used the platform to eulogize the Executive Governor of Kogi State for his proactive leadership and for creating an enabling environment for the party’s “New Direction” administration to flourish.
In a bid to enhance the efficiency of the exercise, the Deputy Speaker, who represents Ibaji State Constituency, specifically advocated for an increase in the number of registration agents deployed to polling units. She noted that expanding the workforce at the grassroots level is essential to facilitate a faster and more inclusive process. She further issued a passionate call to action to the people of Ibaji and Kogi State at large, urging them to register promptly, noting that active participation in the e-membership drive is the only way to guarantee their voices are heard in future political engagements.
The event featured various APC stalwarts who took turns to commend the Governor’s commitment to party consolidation and administrative excellence. The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve among stakeholders to intensify mobilization efforts at the local levels, ensuring that the APC remains the most formidable political force in the state as it transitions into a fully digitized membership base.
