

The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, on Tuesday represented the Speaker of the House of Assembly at the official commissioning of the Kogi State Audit House Complex in Lokoja.
Delivering a goodwill address at the event, Rt. Hon. Egwaba commended Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to transparency, and deliberate focus on institutional development, describing the Audit House as a critical facility for strengthening oversight and accountability in the management of public resources across the state.
The Deputy Speaker also expressed special appreciation to the Auditor-General of Kogi State, Alhaji Yakubu Okala, FCA, and the Auditor-General for Local Governments, Hon. Yakubu Adabenenge Siyaka, for their professionalism, diligence, and sustained efforts in promoting public financial accountability. She further acknowledged the pivotal role of former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, whom she described as the architect of the project for initiating the Audit House, noting that its successful completion under Governor Ododo reflects continuity in purposeful governance.
The lawmaker emphasized that the cordial and cooperative relationship between the legislative and executive arms of government has been instrumental in delivering enduring institutional infrastructure for the benefit of all Kogites. She reaffirmed the commitment of the Kogi State House of Assembly to supporting reforms that deepen accountability, strengthen public trust, and advance sustainable development in the state.
