Idris King extends boreholes rehabilitation project to Otutu/Idoji ward in Okene LGA
The Federal Commissioner representing Kogi State at the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Honourable AbdulAzeez Idris King has extended his ongoing boreholes rehabilitation projects to Otutu/Idoji ward in Okene LGA of Kogi State.
The ongoing Renew Hope Boreholes Rehabilitation projects across Kogi central senatorial district is a perfect initiative of Honourable Abdulazeez Idris King aimed at taking portable water to the door steps of the people at rural communities.
One of the resident of the ward Mallam Mustapha while commending the initiator of the laudable projects, said the borehole has remained moribund for several years without any sign that it can serve the community again.
He applauded the former lawmaker for rehabilitating the borehole, saying the entire residents of the ward really appreciated Hon. Idris King kind gesture.
“Since this borehole packed off some years ago all our effort to revive it was in vain. But today the former lawmaker came on his own and commenced the rehabilitation and now we have portable water to drink and do other domestic activities with it.
“We lack words to thank him for this generosity, but we will continue to pray and ask God Almighty to give him the good health and financial capacity to do more for the downtrodden. We also pray to God to bless him with more positions because we have observe that Hon. Abdulazeez Idris King is that type of a leader who give back to his people.
Also speaking Madam Amina Jimoh who came with buckets to fetch water from the rehabilitated borehole thank Honourable Idris King for giving the ward source of water and appealed for more basic social amenities for the people of the ward.
She said “All the women in Otutu/Idoji ward expressed their profound appreciation to the initiator of the project. As women we will take the ownership of the borehole by protecting it against vandalization”
