Hon. OZIGI Muhammad Tijani
Member, Federal House of Representatives, Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency
Dear Sir,
REQUEST FOR THE OPENING OF A CONSTITUENCY OFFICE IN OGORI-MAGONGO LGA
We wish to sincerely congratulate you on your recent historic and impactful mass empowerment initiative for the good people of Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency. Your efforts and commitment to the welfare of your constituents are commendable and deeply appreciated.
As you approach your third year in office by June 2026, we respectfully wish to draw your attention to a vital issue affecting the people of Ogori Magongo Local Government Area — the absence of your constituency office within the LGA.
Since Nigeria’s return to democratic governance in 1999, no Senator or Member, House of Representatives representing Kogi Central had established a constituency office in Ogori Magongo LGA until 2019, when Distinguished Senator Yakubu Oseni, then Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT & Cybercrime (9th Assembly), became the pioneer by opening a constituency office in Ogori/ Magongo LGA. He further appointed two indigenes as Legislative Aide and Administrative Officer respectively . Subsequently, the present Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, followed suit by establishing her own constituency office in Ogori/Magongo LGA.
These offices have greatly enhanced accessibility, improved communication between the representatives and the people, and strengthened grassroots engagement within the local government.
In light of this, we respectfully appeal to you to consider establishing your constituency office in Ogori/ Magongo LGA. Such an office will provide your constituents with easier access to your representation through designated constituency officers and will further strengthen your connection with the people you serve.
We trust in your continued dedication to inclusive representation and equitable development across the constituency.
Thank you for your attention and kind consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. Moses ADEDEJI
Proudly Ogori Magongo Indigene
