The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba has announced the funeral arrangements for her beloved mother, Pastor Mrs. Margaret Uyo Nwuchiola (née Abraham Ogwo), who passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at the age of 81.
The Deputy Speaker in a statement on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to God for a life well spent, describing her late mother, Pastor Mrs. Nwuchiola as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a woman of strong faith who impacted many lives through her ministry and personal relationships.
According to the Deputy Speaker, the body of her late mother, will leave the Specialist Hospital Mortuary, Lokoja, on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 12:00pm, for her residence located at No. 6 White House Avenue, off NITEL Road, Idah, Kogi State.
A Christian wake is scheduled to hold later the same day at her residence by 4:00pm, where family members, friends, and well-wishers are expected to gather to pay their last respects and celebrate her life of service and devotion.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at The Church With the Gospel, along NITEL Road, Idah, Kogi State, beginning at 8:00pm.
Interment will follow immediately after the church service at her hometown in Echeño, Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The Deputy Speaker who prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of her late mother, urged invited friends, associates, and the general public to join her in giving her beloved mother a befitting farewell.
