

OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT
The death has been announced of Dr. Segun Nezer Keyi, founder and Chief Medical Officer of Lafiak Hospital, Abaji. Dr. Keyi died at the weekend in the Garki Hospital, Abuja after a brief illness at the age of 72.
He is survived by his wife, four children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, including Mrs. Eunice Ojumu, a retired federal director and Dr. Mathew Keyi, a former Chairman of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area and Mr. Festus Keyi of the Treasury Department, Ogori/Magongo Local Government.
Dr. Keyi served as medical doctor in several hospitals including the Ilorin General Hospital, Offa General Hospital, Lokoja General Hospital, Ankuri Hospital Lokoja, before establishing his own hospital at Abaji in 1985.
Meanwhile, the Ogori community through the President of the Ogori Descendants Union, Dr. Gabriel Aiso, has paid tribute to the late Dr. Segun Keyi who was described as a community patriot and an embodiment of service, compassion and uncommon selflessness.
The community also expressed gratitude to God for a life well lived.
In their tribute, the class of Set 1974 of the Government Secondary School, Ochaja, through their headboy, Mr. Solomon Achimugu, also described the late Dr. Segun Keyi as a distinguished medical practitioner, a brilliant mind, principled and frank personality.
The final burial arrangement will soon be announced by the family.
