2027 Guber: Kwara Youths Declare Support For Speaker Danladi

A group, under the aegis of Kwara Central Prominent Youths In Politics On the Platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that the party’s governorship primary election in the State has come and gone, adding that a candidate has emerged through a democratic process recognised by the party.
It added: “Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, is today the official Governorship Candidate of the APC for the 2027 General Elections.”

Coalition of APC Support Groups, said: “As a group of young Progressives, we believe there comes a time when every political organization and every party member must make a choice. In moments like this, sitting on the fence is not an option. The future belongs to those who are willing to take a stand for what they believed in.
“We have carefully observed recent developments and conversations within the political space. While we respect the aspirations and contributions of all those who participated in the governorship contest, we firmly believe that the interest of our party and the progress of Kwara State must now take precedence over individual ambitions.
“For us, this moment is also about appreciating visionary leadership.
“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has, over the years, demonstrated uncommon commitment to youth inclusion, human capital development, infrastructure renewal, educational advancement, healthcare improvement, and the overall development of Kwara State. More importantly, he has consistently opened doors for young people to participate meaningfully in governance and leadership.
“Today, one of us, a tested and trusted young leader, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has emerged as the flag bearer of our great party.
“For this reason, we sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for believing in the capacity of Kwara youths and for creating an environment where young people can aspire, compete, and emerge as leaders.
