

Kogi House Leader Commends Energy Commission DG, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha
The House Leader , Kogi State House of Assembly Hon (Dr) Suleiman Abdulrazak has lauded the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, for his unwavering support and contributions to national development and grassroots empowerment.
Speaking in an interview with Journalists in Lokoja on Thursday, the Lawmaker praised Dr. Mustapha for what he described as his “tremendous work” in advancing clean energy initiatives in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, Dr. Mustapha’s efforts have not only impacted the nation at large but have also brought significant development to his home constituency in Okene Local Government Area.
He noted that the Energy Commission boss has consistently demonstrated commitment to human capital development through various empowerment programmes, including the provision of scholarships to students at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
The House Leader further disclosed that Dr. Mustapha has extended sponsorship to individuals pursuing postgraduate studies, including Master’s and PhD programmes, using personal resources to support educational advancement.
“In addition to his contributions to education, he has shown remarkable compassion towards vulnerable groups, including persons living with disabilities, through financial assistance and other forms of support,” he said.
The Lawmaker also highlighted Dr. Mustapha’s role in supporting small and medium-scale enterprises by providing financial aid to help business owners expand their operations.
He stressed that such interventions have contributed significantly to economic growth at the grassroots level and improved the livelihoods of many families in the area.
Describing the Energy Commission DG as a worthy Ambassador of the constituency, the Lawmaker said the commendation was a collective decision by the people to appreciate his efforts and encourage him to do more.
He prayed for continued strength, wisdom and resources for Dr. Mustapha to sustain his philanthropic and developmental strides for the benefit of society.

Colleagues, I rise to move a motiori technology Ar Tochanmemore Tochemson Udch urging this Honourable House to resolve and issue a commendation letter to Dr. Mustaph Abdullahi in recognition of his outstanding contribution to nation building. A proud son of Ebira Land.
Aware that, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi is the Director General /Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, also the President Of DAM Foundation, Chairman of the Kogi State Basketball Association. Dr Mustapha Abdullahi been the President of DAM Foundation has done a lots by providing support and empowerment for persons living with disabilities, Cash grants to small and medium Enterprises (SMES) across Kogi State, training young people in ICT and provision of Laptops, Full scholarships to needy students from Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and post graduate level across Kogi State, and provisions of several Solar-Powered Motorized boreholes among others.
House to acknowledged the exemplary patriotism, humility and commitment to community development as consistently demonstrated by Dr Mustapha Abdullahi whose quiet leadership continues to yield tangible benefits for his people and the nation at large, Particularly at a time when public trust must be rebuilt through visible service.
Whereas, Barefoot Renewable Energy College (BARECKS) at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara Kogi State, is a flagship initiative of the Energy Commission of Nigeria,
House to note that, the main goal of Barefoot Renewable Energy College (BARECKS) Kogi State is to train the next generation of Nigeria renewable energy experts across different fields of the renewable energy value chain, from solar installation and maintenance to other renewable energy technologies and technical skills.
However, combining hand-on technical training with university -backed research, the college will bridge the gap between non- formal skills acquisition and academic innovation. This project features world class facilities, including smart classrooms, renewable energy laboratories, photovoltaic and solar thermal workshops, battery storage and power electronics laboratories, mini-grid simulation platforms, wind and bioenergy training facilities, electric vehicle charging modules and energy efficiency laboratories. Indeed, it is a citadel of learning, a world-class edifice completed to international standards. This is the first institution of its kind on the African continent, modelled on the celebrated vocational colleges of India that turned unlettered grand-mothers into solar engineers. This institution will empower young Nigerians, women and rural Communities with the expertise needed to drive Nigeria clean energy future.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker, my esteem Hon. Colleagues, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi’s vision and commitment has contributed immensely to advancing renewable energy research and promoting sustainable development in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
These Landmark projects reaffirm commitment of the Renewed Hope Administration’s of President Bola Tinubu and the concerted efforts of the Chief servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State for advancing renewable energy innovation, green energy entrepreneurs and sustainable development in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

The Rt. Hon. Speaker, My esteem Hon. Colleagues I urge this august House to adopt this motion and accordingly resolve as follows;
1. That this Honourable House issue a letter of Commendation to Dr Mustapha Abdullahi Director General, Energy Commission Of Nigeria for his remarkable vision, dedication, commitment and selfless contribution to Nation Building to serve as an inspiration to other well-placed individual in public service.
2. That the House do also issue a commendation letter to the Honorable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, as the mother Supervisom line Ministry of the Energy Commission of Nigeria.
