With the 2027 Kogi State House of Assembly election just months away, Hon. Ibikunle Idowu, popularly known as Hon. Kuli, has commenced the distribution of exercise books to public schools across Yagba West Constituency 1.
The initiative began with public primary schools in the constituency as part of efforts to support pupils and ease the educational burden on low-income families and less-privileged students.
Hon. Ibikunle Idowu, who represents Yagba West Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly and is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Yagba West Constituency 1, flagged off the exercise.
Speaking during the distribution, Pastor Kingsley Ikusagba, Area Education Evaluator for Yagba West Local Government, applauded Hon. Kuli for the gesture.
Ikusagba described education as a central pillar of sustainable development, noting that it contributes to economic growth, social equality and innovation.
He further described the exercise book distribution as a well-thought-out initiative, commending Hon. Kuli for supporting public school pupils, particularly children from low-income families and less-privileged backgrounds.
