The political landscape of Osun State witnessed a significant convergence on Thursday, as the Ajisope Development Initiative formally threw its weight behind the reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, declaring that the 2027 presidential project is not only a priority but a non-negotiable commitment for the organization and its teeming supporters.
Founder of the Ajisope Development Initiative and the Aare Musulumi of Oba land, Alhaji Abdul Kabiru Okikiola Adeoye Ajisope, made the bold declaration while addressing a mammoth gathering of his followers, coordinators, women leaders, youth leaders, and members of the initiative at the organization’s secretariat, situated at Oroki Estate, Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
In his address, the renowned grassroots mobilizer emphasized that the organization’s sole political focus and direction at the present moment is the successful reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
According to Alhaji Ajisope, the Tinubu 2027 project supersedes every other political consideration before the group, stressing that no election is more important to him and the initiative at this time than ensuring the President’s return to office.
“Our focus now is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Tinubu 2027 reelection project is paramount to me more than any other election. I want all our members to be resolute and committed to this cause,” he declared with conviction.
The Aare Musulumi charged his teeming supporters across Osun State — particularly those within the Osogbo, Olorunda, and Orolu Federal Constituency — to remain unwavering, united, and determined in the pursuit of the Tinubu 2027 agenda.
In a move that underscored his zero-tolerance for lukewarm commitment, Alhaji Ajisope issued a stern warning to doubting Thomases and individuals exhibiting double standards within the political space, advising them to steer clear of the Ajisope Development Initiative if they are unwilling to demonstrate genuine loyalty and unwavering commitment to the Tinubu reelection agenda.
Reflecting on his bitter experience during the last governorship election in Osun State, Alhaji Ajisope expressed deep displeasure over how he and his group were treated despite their massive contributions and sacrifices before and during the election. He lamented that the Ajisope Development Initiative was neither recognized nor appreciated for its efforts.
He, however, stated that the past experience has taught the group a valuable lesson and will serve as a guide for its future political engagements, adding that the organization is now wiser and more strategic in its political calculations.
Earlier in their separate remarks, leaders of the initiative drawn from the three local government areas that make up the Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu Federal Constituency appealed to members to put the past behind them and embrace a new political course with renewed vigour.
They enjoined members of the Ajisope Development Initiative to remain united, shun divisive tendencies, and work assiduously for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, noting that the initiative possesses what it takes to deliver massive votes for the President.
The meeting, which was well attended by coordinators, women leaders, youth leaders, and supporters of the initiative from across the federal constituency, ended with a renewed commitment to embark on aggressive grassroots mobilization for the Tinubu 2027 project — a clear signal that the Ajisope Development Initiative is ready to hit the ground running.
