The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Member Representing Ibaji State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, alongside other lawmakers, participated in a one-week capacity-building programme in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme “International Conference on Contemporary Policy Making.”
The conference, jointly organised by Barclays Global Consult and the Centre for International Development Rwanda (CIDR), provided a platform for knowledge sharing, professional development and engagement on contemporary approaches to policy formulation, governance and effective public administration.
The programme exposed participating lawmakers to international perspectives on emerging governance challenges, effective legislative practices and strategies for developing responsive, people-centred policies.
The Deputy Speaker’s participation reflects the importance of continuous professional development in strengthening legislative capacity and promoting effective governance and sustainable development in Kogi State.
