The Caretaker Chairman of Okehi Local Government, Hon. Monday Amoka Odu embarked on his maiden official visit to the palaces of the Ihima monarchs since his appointment as the Acting Chairman of Okehi Local Government for royal blessing, counsel, and to brainstorm the proven idea that shall keep Okehi Local Government flying on a progressive pedestal.
In his keynote address, Hon. Odu read the creed of his administration to the Royal Highnesses and urged them to adopt, pass and judiciously enforce such in their respective subjects to restore a prosperous Ihima as of Old.
He stressed that his administration shall not falter in implementing bilateral policy between the Government and the traditional rulers to bring peace and social success in Ihima.
Your Royal Highnesses, I wish to inform you that I am not a day-scratcher in the affairs of Ihima and Okehi Local Government but a veteran socialite whose acquaintance with state of social stability in Ihima. So I will serve with dignity in the service to humanity.
He admonished the Okehi monarchs never to allow Clan sentiment to induce negligence in discharging their royal functions or trivializing the needed alliance with his administration, adding that Ihima is our home of origin and must be protected against domestic and sophisticated social vices that are capable of truncating our unity and business enterprise.
So as I proceed to embark on this leadership journey, I seek for your cooperation and respect for the rule of law, even as I expect everyone of you to be a royal vessel that shall assist the government in executing her blueprints for peace and progress of Ihima and Okehi Local Government in general.
