The Caretaker Chairman of Adavi LG, Hon. Rasheed Bashir Okatengwu resumes office as the chairman of Adavi LG officially today at the council secretarial in Ogaminana, Adavi LG, Kogi State.
The chairman was received in a warm reception by stakeholders, party stewards, local government management staff, elders, well wishers and the good people of Adavi LG at the secretariat.
A reception was held at the council conference hall where dignitaries attended in a bid to welcome the chairman to his office and various stakeholders present promised to support his government. Those in attendance were; The DLG, Treasurer of Adavi LG, Hon. Baba Asema, member representing Adavi State Constituency at KSHA, the APC Chairman of Adavi, Hon. Barnabas Oyibo and a host of other dignitaries.
Hon. Rasheed Bashir Okatengwu delivered his keynote address were he promised to be upright and serve the people of Adavi to the best of his ability. He further restated his readiness to give an unquestionable loyalty to the state government for the best interest of Adavi people.
“We are very much aware of the challenges facing the local government and we are fully ready to work on them. We also appeal to management staff and head of department to keep a check on staff to ensure they are perform their duties unhindered”, Hon. Bashir Okatengwu remarked.
Necessary documents for the office the chairman were then handed over to him and work began with immediate effect.
